Muse is hardly new, but certainly different. Since its inception in 1994, the trio has sold more than 10 million albums and built upon their popularity with its truthful lyrics and strange composition. But that one spacey song from two years ago led to buying Black Holes and Revelations (my personal favorite), Absolution (unusual and epic), and eventually, The Resistance (an eclectic tribute). And in those two years, my mind and body has completely opened up to a new genre of music and Muse has been my go to group for inspiration and entertainment.

All week, we’ve been focusing on the scourge that is human trafficking. We’ve told you what it is and talked to people who are out there trying to change the world by eradicating modern day slavery. But as Paul mentioned in the conversation with Faceless International, if all we’ve done is enlighten you then we’ve failed. For a today’s installment of The Six, we’re going to tell you where to go from here.

Human Trafficking is a crime against humanity. It involves an act of recruiting, transporting, transferring, harboring or receiving a person through a use of force, coercion or other means, for the purpose of exploiting them. It is a form of present day slavery and it affects more than 27 million people around the world. It’s hard to see a staggering number like that and fathom how many people that really is, so if you take the population of the entire state of Texas and then add the population of the entire state of Nevada, you would have about 27 million people.

At this very moment, thousands of fingers smack keyboards feverishly declaring Nolan’s latest Chinese finger trap of a film a masterpiece, insisting on its brilliance, its importance. I observe that when speaking of Inception there is no room for measured or moderate terms of praise like “good,” “interesting” or “well done”; no, not when the more grandiose declarations “best film of the decade,” “mind-blowing” and “transcendent” are available. When it comes to Nolan, hyperbole is the order of the day.
